Your role and responsibilities
Join our established team as a Senior PeopleSoft Administrator to provide mission-critical support for our PeopleSoft HCM (Human Capital Management) 9.2 application. This role is essential for maintaining system stability, security, and performance.
We are seeking a highly talented and experienced professional with exceptional troubleshooting skills, deep expertise in PeopleTools upgrades/PUM, and a strong background in Oracle DBA administration within a Linux environment. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing best practices for system operations and maintenance, specifically covering Benefits Administration, HCM, and Payroll.
The PeopleSoft Administrator will be responsible for the full lifecycle support of the PeopleSoft application, including the following key areas:
Maintenance & Operations
* Administer and maintain PeopleSoft HCM on Linux in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including production, development, and test environments.
* Perform environment refreshes leveraging OCI Autonomous Database and/or PeopleSoft Cloud Manager.
* Migrate code and data using Application Designer and Data Mover.
* Provide all 3 tiers of Production support and research complex PeopleSoft issues, logging and tracking Service Requests (SRs) with Oracle Support.
* Update and create Linux and Ansible scripts to streamline administrative tasks.
Patching & Upgrades
* Lead the planning and execution of PeopleTools upgrades and new releases, utilizing DPK installations.
* Plan and execute PUM maintenance, including PUM installation, creating and applying maintenance packages (including Tax Updates), and applying required Program-Related Patches (PRPs).
* Collaborate with developers on custom re-applies, detailed installation instructions, deployment, and contingency planning.
Security & Compliance
* Remediate vulnerabilities found during security scans on both Linux and Windows by identifying and applying necessary patches.
* Support the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) during the annual Authority to Operate (ATO) process.
* Provide guidance and expertise on PeopleSoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Database & Developer Support
* Provide Oracle database recommendations and support, including advanced SQL performance troubleshooting.
* Assist developers in troubleshooting errors by analyzing SQL and PeopleCode trace logs.
* Perform developer workstation application installations on Windows (PeopleTools, SQL, etc.), providing basic desktop support for a small team.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance
Required technical and professional expertise
* Comprehensive understanding of PeopleSoft and Cloud architecture, and underlying tables
* 7+ years of progressive PeopleSoft Administration experience
* Proficiency in deploying and managing PeopleSoft environments in OCI, utilizing tools like Autonomous Database and PeopleSoft Cloud Manager for provisioning, lifecycle management, and patching
* Experience with DPK installations using YAML configuration files
* Proficiency with PeopleSoft administrative tools: Change Assistant, Application Designer, Data Mover, and PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF)
* Expertise in Linux command line and advanced bash scripting, Ansible scripting for configuration management and automation
* Strong experience with WebLogic administration and configuration
* Strong Oracle DBA skills in a Linux environment
* Ability to write and optimize Oracle SQL queries
* Proven ability to perform SQL performance troubleshooting and provide database recommendations
* Experience in implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML, integrating LDAP, and configuring PingFederate SSO
* Ability to perform security audits using the PeopleSoft Auditing Framework, enforcing compliance with security policies
* Expertise in Continuity of Operations (COOP) and disaster recovery planning and execution
* Familiarity with federal compliance standards, including NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA policies.
Preferred technical and professional experience
* Background in providing functional support and applying PeopleSoft Best Practices
* Experience with front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
* Strong analytical/research skills and ability to troubleshoot independently
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong documentation and training abilities.
