Our mission is to create innovative solutions that will transform the way people work, play, and connect.We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team, to design, build, and test prototype electrical systems for use across research. The systems we work with could have ASICs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs from simple to large, displays, audio, inertial sensors, haptic interfaces, image sensors, and high-speed I/O. You will work in a world class cross-functional team including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, as well as internal and external research partners who are leaders in their fields.

Electrical Engineer - Reality Labs Research Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the development of complex subsystems, own the development of moderately complex subsystems, or own the development of simple systems under the direction of a technical lead
2. Design schematics, evaluate components, direct board layout, conduct design reviews and draft design documentations
3. Manage bring up and debug, support manufacturing and assembly
4. Collaborate in a team environment and work across engineering disciplines to develop systems and manage trade offs across electronics, mechanics, optics, sensors, haptics, firmware and software
5. Evaluate vendor reference design and transform these into custom solutions which meet product and form factor constraints

6. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field
7. 3+ years of professional experience in relevant technical field
8. Proven knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals
9. Experience with schematic and board design using Cadence OrCAD, Altium or equivalent
10. Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, high-speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, and function generators

11. Master's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field
12. 5+ years of experience in research or advanced development
13. Experience with basic programming skills in languages such as Python or C++, including data analysis, scripting, and automation
14. Experience with one or more of the following, digital signal processing, real-time image processing, display engineering, camera modules, mobile SoC (System on Chip) and PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) or Battery Management Systems
Public Compensation:
$111,000/year to $164,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
