    DESCRIPTION: Machinist sets up and operates conventional, special purpose and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to manufacture parts by performing the following duties:

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.

    + Cuts material as required by shop router and sign off operation on shop router.

    + Works in accordance with OSHA Safety regulations.

    + Holds responsibility for wearing proper safety equipment in required areas.

    + Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, signs off operations on router.

    + Be sure that 1st piece inspection is performed as required.

    + Keeps work area and machine clean, neat and safe.

    + Performs other duties as required or instructed by Supervisor.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + Preferably a US Citizen.

    + Some experience preferred.
