    Description

    Summary:

    We are currently seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as an Outside Sales Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for building strong relationships and developing new business opportunities with clients. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

     

    As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying potential clients and pitching our products and services to them. You will be travelling to various client locations to deliver presentations, conduct product demonstrations, and negotiate contracts. In addition, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

     

    To excel in this role, you must have a thorough understanding of the sales process and a strong ability to identify client needs and present solutions. You should be comfortable working independently and have a high level of self-motivation. Strong organizational and time management skills are also essential.

     

    Reports to: Sales Manager

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Extensive, demonstrable knowledge of electrical products and their functions

    • Minimum 3 years sales experience

    • Ability to travel and make sales calls at customer locations

    • Ability to comprehend, read, and communicate in English both orally and in writing

    • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets CED required standards

    • Math skills including calculating percentages, decimals, and discount multipliers

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + College degree

    Working Conditions:

    Conditions vary based on the customer location and may include construction, warehouse, manufacturing, office, or external environments. Some activities may include walking, standing, climbing in various conditions including extreme heat or cold. Essential functions will require travel to customer locations.

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets

    + Identify potential clients and generate new business opportunities

    + Conduct market research and stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities

    + Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients

    + Negotiate contracts and close sales deals

    + Manage and maintain relationships with existing clients

    + Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
