Description:
Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback, operates angiographic equipment.
Provides care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.
Maintains open and positive communication with staff, physicians, and other departments.
Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.
Presents a positive image to community and professional contacts.
Promotes professionalism with the department, hospital, and community; acts as a role model.
Maintains intra-arterial access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
Receives, relays and documents verbal, written and electronic orders in the patient’s medical record.
Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
Maintains active registry status in ARRT.
Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice.
Two years’ experience preferred.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
Prefer Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certified or obtained within six (6) months of hire. The acceptable credentialing body for this requirement is the American Heart Association.
Completes Advanced Cardiac Life Support qualification.
No disciplinary actions in file (written notice or higher).
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
