Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
+ Oncology Director for Trinity Health SE Michigan hospital locations.
+ The Director is responsible for leading and guiding regional oncology operations, enabling strategy to address business and regulatory needs. Provides functional expertise, ensures performance and service standards, and drives consistent operating results and financial goals. Collaborates across Service Areas, Regions, and Health Ministries to align strategy and operations. Offers decision support and operational leadership, while staying current with industry developments and standards.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or related field
+ Preferred: Experience in Oncology service/field with increasing responsibilities &/or case complexities
+ Progressive management/leadership experience in an acute care environment or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Licensed healthcare professional (nursing, pharmacy, or physician)
+ Oncology related certifications
WHAT YOU WILL DO
+ Provides operations & / or optimization leadership focus; Multiple departments / specialties or division; May provide leadership & direction through managers or senior managers.
+ Responsible for directing & coordinating / affecting large complex processes with strong dependencies & broad resources
+ Accountable for the performance, regulatory readiness & results of large, strategic/diverse disciplines cross-functional teams or departments /areas / clinics over a large functional domain or multiple domains in a large geography
+ Accountable for ensuring organizational mission, values & goals are being carried out within a matrixed organization.
+ Develops, implements, & administers the service line strategic business & financial plans in accordance with organizational strategic plan, integrating them into the daily program operations. Documents, communicates & revises plans annually to act as a guide for the entire service line.
+ Leads regional oncology operations and enables strategy to address business and regulatory needs. Provides functional expertise, ensures performance standards, and drives financial and operational results. Collaborates across Service Areas, Regions, and Ministries to align strategy and operations. Delivers decision support and operational leadership while staying current with industry standards.
+ Seeks to incorporate the use of new technologies & methods to improve clinical outcomes, productivity, & organizational effectiveness. Challenges current processes to identify more cost-effective methods.
+ Participates in ongoing quality monitoring, policy review, & process improvement activities related to assigned Clinical Services. Uses data from a variety of sources to support decision-making.
+ Develop short- and long-term plans in collaboration with Medical Directors and key physician partners. Oversee service line performance, including budgeting, capital planning, and pro-forma development for new services. Monitors financials, analyzes variances, and implements corrective actions to ensure profitability aligns with strategic goals. Explores grant and philanthropic opportunities to support growth.
