Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a **Weight Room Monitor** !
As a **Weight Room Monitor** at MercyOne, you will provide Wellness Center support through monitoring of weight room, new member orientations, customer service and facility maintenance and assisting at front desk. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.
Schedule:
+ Per Diem (As needed). Hours and shifts may vary!
General Requirements:
Supervises weight room:
+ Monitors membership sign-in log to assure active memberships.
+ Monitors for safe use of equipment and intervenes and educates as necessary.
+ Enforces center policies and procedures.
+ Offers tips and suggestions for improving member exercise program
Provides orientations to new members:
+ Complete orientation packets.
+ Teaches the proper use of all equipment.
+ Tours new and potential members and educates on facility and services.
Provides membership support:
+ Answers telephones.
+ Answers questions and directs concerns.
+ Compiles satisfaction surveys.
+ Handles sales of memberships, gift certificates and merchandise.
Assists in maintenance of equipment:
+ Cleans wood flooring.
+ Cleans and organizes hand weights, mats and steps.
+ Cleans weight and cardiovascular equipment.
+ Assures proper working order of equipment.
+ Monitors linens and assures sufficient supplies available for members.
Education:
+ Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians while performing their job duties.
+ BLS & Mandatory Reporter.
+ 0 - 2 years' experience using weight and cardiovascular equipment.
