TITLE: Vice President – Municipal Banking Officer
REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President – Corporate Lending Team Leader
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Exempt
PAY GRADE: EX 70 ($88,000 - $139,504 annually)
AVAILABILITY: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Position Summary:
Develops, implements, and manages relationships within the Municipal market to acquire new clients and retain and expand existing relationships, in coordination with the SVP – Corporate Lending Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Acts as relationship manager for assigned municipal clients to coordinate and provide excellent service and build and expand existing relationships.
+ Works with branch management to develop leads and to create contacts through networking.
+ Assists the SVP – Corporate Lending Team Leader with the implementation of municipal sales plans to achieve corporate goals and objectives.
+ Models sales techniques to branch personnel on joint business calls.
+ Attends and assists with sales training courses as needed.
+ Collaborates with Marketing staff, Staff Development, Commercial Services, and Branch Administration to achieve Bank goals.
+ Creates and executes a sales plan for soliciting municipal clients in our banking area.
+ Coordinates and supports municipal services for Pioneer Bank.
+ Actively calls on area municipalities, government agencies, and quasi-municipal entities in cooperation with branch managers and other Pioneer Officers.
+ Coordinates lending to all local municipalities, school districts, and other public entities.
+ Serve as resource and support calling efforts on municipal services.
+ Develops municipal products as appropriate.
+ Actively participates in municipal groups, including NYSASBO and GFOA, as well as other community organizations.
+ Serves as a resource to the Retail team regarding sales training, the incentive program, and various initiatives.
+ Provides input and feedback to SVP – Corporate Lending Team Leader regarding municipal sales progress, market conditions, and forecasts.
Education & Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business-related field strongly preferred.
+ Minimum of 3-5 years’ commercial banking experience required.
+ Experience providing financial services to municipal clients preferred.
+ Must have access to reliable transportation on short notice.
+ Valid driver's license plus ability to maintain this throughout employment.
