If you are a **Materials** professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting role for you! Based out of our **Rushville, IN** location, you will coordinate and expedite purchases, inventory levels, flow of materials, parts, and assemblies from suppliers, between sections or departments, by performing the following duties.
AS A MATERIALS ANALYST, YOU WILL:
+ Manage and develop process improvement projects for kanban pull systems to meet production and inventory targets
+ Manage MRP to ensure timely receipt of materials to meet production schedules.
+ Track the progress of materials and expedite, as required.
+ Analyze data and help develop analysis tools to improve efficiencies across the materials department. Develop and maintain autonomous reporting dashboard for “clear to build” window to prevent production interruptions
+ Manage inventory levels to meet both inventory and production goals.
+ Identify and resolve issues that impact on time deliveries.
+ Organize and set up daily transportation on critical timeframes to ensure timely receipt of products.
+ Work through new product development at the plant with part set ups, lead times, BOM changes, etc.
+ Utilize lean tools to improve supplier delivery to the plant
+ Meet customer requirements, including LTL, FTL, and expedites.
+ Work in conjunction with production, customer service, sales, suppliers, and procurement to meet customer requirements, including short LT and expedite requests.
+ Be cross trained in other positions in the/other department(s).
+ All other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
+ Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables), Power-BI
+ Working experience with ERP and MRP use, Oracle
+ Capable of utilizing Lean tools, such as Kanban pull systems, demand-driven supply chain, and perfect execution strategies
+ Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
+ Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
+ Degree in Supply Chain/Operations or related degree
+ Knowledge of manufacturing operations, MRP systems, shop floor controls, supply chain methodology and lean practices
+ Materials and/or operations experience
Schedule
Assembly operates on a 4-day, 10-hour work-shift schedule. Salaried employees who are not front-line supervisors work five days to support this arrangement. They can choose between working extended hours from Monday to Thursday with a half day on Friday, or they can opt for full eight-hour workdays from Monday to Friday.

About Our Location
Our 2-building campus offers a safe and clean work environment with a “family” atmosphere. We manufacture new semi-hermetic compressors and take the worn-out, failed compressors out of the field and remanufacture them to “like new” status, as well as manufacture crank shafts. Approximately 200 employees work in Rushville and are an integral part of our organization. A 2-building campus allows for learning and growth opportunities for all our team.
