    IT Project Manager – Data / BI / EIM

     

    Duration: 12-month contract (goal is contract-to-hire)

     

    Pay Rate: $60hr W2

     

    Overview

     

    IT Project Manager to support enterprise initiatives within the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team. This PM will lead a variety of data and business intelligence (BI) projects, drive process maturity, and help shape the foundation of structured delivery within the EIM organization.

     

    The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can balance technical delivery with stakeholder management and thrives in a “Wagile” (Waterfall + Agile hybrid) environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead full project lifecycle management for data and BI initiatives, including planning, execution, delivery, and closure.

    • Partner closely with technical leads, business stakeholders, and vendor teams (including Tiger Analytics).

    • Support and improve project management practices within the EIM group.

    • Manage both Agile and Waterfall projects; adapt methods based on team maturity and project needs.

    • Oversee project documentation, scope management, budgets, and timelines.

    • Ensure clear communication across cross-functional teams and leadership.

    • Facilitate daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other ceremonies as appropriate.

    • Mentor team members and promote PM discipline within the organization.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Proven background managing data, BI, analytics, or EIM projects.

    • Strong understanding of Microsoft technology stack, Azure, and DevOps.

    • Experience using Wrike or similar project management tools.

    • Ability to work effectively in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.

    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts.

    • Experience in distribution industry strongly preferred; exposure to retail, CPG, manufacturing, or logistics a plus.

    • PMP certification is not required but considered beneficial.
