    Our client, a renowned organization dedicated to marine conservation and education, is seeking a Volunteer and Intern Coordinator to join their team. As a Volunteer and Intern Coordinator, you will be part of the Volunteer Engagement department supporting the volunteer programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for community engagement, which will align successfully within the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Volunteer and Intern Coordinator

    **Location:** Monterey, CA

     

    Pay Rate: $28.00/ Hourly

     

    **Shift:** Monday – Friday (8am-5pm; slight flexibility in start and end times if needed)

     

    Start Date: 12/1/2025

     

    Duration: 60 Days

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Support the volunteer and intern programs by maintaining databases, records, and reports, including managing the volunteer substitute website.

    + Serve as a primary point of contact for volunteer inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely and professional responses.

    + Assist in coordinating volunteer recognition efforts and organizing special events to celebrate volunteer contributions.

    + Collaborate with team members to address department needs and support ongoing volunteer engagement initiatives.

    + Perform additional duties as required to support the overall success of the volunteer program.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + College degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    + Ability to handle confidential situations and information with discretion.

    + Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

    + Proficiency with database management software, Google Forms, and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.

    + Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.
