As a Residential Advisor, you’ll be theheartbeat of our dorm community, mentoring, motivating, and guiding young adults (ages 16–24) as they build brighter futures through education and career training.
•About Woodland and Job Corps Center
The Woodland Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity toearn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas:
+ ⚡ Electrical Wiring
+ 🪚 Carpentry
+ 🏗 Building Construction Technology
+ 🍳 Culinary Arts
+ 🍽 Advanced Training - Culinary Arts and Hotel & Lodging
We also assist students withjob placementupon completion of their educational and career technical training.

•Position Summary
Responsible for providing proper guidance to students to ensurepositive group living relationsandachievement in the Job Corps program.

+ Create asafe, respectful, and inclusive living space

+ Keep dorm operations running smoothly withchecks, reports, and teamwork

•Responsibilities
+ 🏠 Provide guidance for students to achieve apositive attitude and proper behaviorin dormitory living and accomplish goals
+ 📝 Determine, recommend, and arrangestudent visits to counselor
+ 🎯 Assist inunit activities, including unit government
+ 👀 Patrol and monitor dormitories and center, ensuringsafety and proper behavior; resolve problems
+ 🗂 Preparedaily operations report, pass list, and other administrative correspondence
+ 🧹 Direct students and assist incleanup and maintenanceof dormitory
+ 🛒 Recommend or requisitionsuppliesfor dorm living and student safety
+ 📂 Maintain dormitory andindividual student files, ensuring they are complete and updated
+ 💻 Enterstudent case notesin the center information system
+ 👥 Participate incareer development servicesby ensuring a safe living environment and positive peer leadership
+ 🧠 Provideguidance, counseling, group sessions, and independent living skills
+ ⏰ Work overtime when directed; maintainregular and predictable attendance
+ 🌟 Providepositive, quality customer servicesto students, staff, and center customers
+ 🛡 Support, promote, and enforce theJob Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy
+ 🎓 Promotecareer success standardsby modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students, and monitoring behavior through interventions

Qualifications
•Qualifications & Experience
+ Education:High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred.
+ Experience:A minimum ofone-year Job Corps or related program experiencerequired.
+ Licensing:A validin-State Driver’s Licensepreferred.
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to performsitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching
+ Demonstrates the ability tolift 40 poundsand/or assess the lift load to ask for necessary assistance
