• ABOUT WOODLAND AND JOB CORPS CENTER
The Woodland Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity toearn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas:
+ Electrical Wiring
+ Carpentry
+ Building Construction Technology
+ Culinary Arts
+ Advanced Training - Culinary Arts
+ Hotel & Lodging
We also assist students withjob placementupon completion of their educational and career technical training.

• POSITION SUMMARY
Provide asafe and secure living and working environmentfor students and staff. Assist in theinvestigation of accidents and incidentswith the goal of resolution andreduction of future occurrences.
There are2 current vacanciesin the department.
• SCHEDULES
SCHEDULE 1:
+ Sunday to Wednesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
+ OFF Thursday and Friday
+ Saturday: 1:00pm - 10:00pm
SCHEDULE 2:
+ OFF Saturday and Sunday
+ Monday to Thursday: 3:00pm - 12:00am
+ Friday: 4:00pm - 1:00am
• MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION
+ Maysupervise Work-Based Learning studentsassigned to Safety & Security for on-the-job training.
• RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Conducts routinesafety inspections and assessmentsof all Center equipment and facilities to identify potential safety and security hazards.
+ Enforces occupational safety and health regulations and standards.
+ Conducts and documentsincident and accident investigationsper established timelines and requirements.
+ Conducts routine Center-widesecurity toursand assists with monitoring and supervision of students.
+ Responds toemergency situations and requests.
+ Responsible forCenter security, visitor control, and student accountability.
+ May assist dorm staff in conductingdorm inspections and searches for contraband.
+ Maintains thesecurity and cleanlinessof Center facilities and property.
+ May provideresidential, recreation, and transportation assistanceas required.
+ Producesquality workand completes assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
+ Plans, prioritizes, and organizes assignments tomeet established goals and deadlines.
+ Understands and appliesjob knowledgeto effectively complete all required job responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties.
+ Mentors, monitors, and models theCareer Success Standardsas required by the PRH.
+ Provideshigh-quality supervision and managementfor the student population. Takes swift and appropriate action and positively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.
+ Providesquality programs and servicesfor students and ensures that quality is maintained and student needs are met. Pursuesimprovement and enhancement of programs and services.
+ Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in aclear and concise mannerand contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.
+ Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes, and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are corrected.
+ Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensureeffective supervision and servicesare provided to students.
+ Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager, including assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• QUALIFICATIONS
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred.
+ Prefer Job Corps or related program experience.
+ Must possess avalid in-State Driver’s Licenseand meetCompany insurability requirements.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to perform tasks involvingsitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
+ Must demonstrate the ability tolift 40 poundsand/or assess the lift load to ask for necessary assistance.
