The Woodland Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity toearn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas:

•Position Summary
Ensures that food, supplies, and equipment areavailable as needed and stored properly.
+ Assists in thepreparation of food for meals
+ Provideskitchen clean-upto facilitate sanitizing of all food service areas
Schedule:
+ 🌞 Off Sunday and Monday
+ 🕚 Tuesday–Thursday: 11:00am–8:00pm
+ 🕤 Friday–Saturday: 9:30am–6:30pm
•Management & Supervision
May superviseJob Corps’ Work-Based Learning studentsassigned to the department.
•Responsibilities
+ 🔄 Transfers food, supplies, and equipment between storage areas and kitchen/cafeteria
+ 🍎 Washes, peels, and cores fruit and vegetables as necessary
+ 🪑 Sets up and takes down tables and chairs
+ 🍽 Scrapes, washes, and stores dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
+ 🧹 Clears, cleans, and sanitizes kitchen, cafeteria, and food storage areas
+ ❄️ Cleans refrigerators, stoves, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
+ 🧽 Sweeps, mops, waxes, and strips wax from floors
+ 🗑 Cleans and stores trash containers in appropriate areas
+ 🔧 Degreases and sanitizes vent screens and filters
+ 🌟 Providessuperior customer service
+ 🕒 Producesquality work in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner
+ 📊 Maintainsattendance, accountability, and productivity standards
+ 🗂 Plans, prioritizes, and organizes assignments to meet goals and deadlines

Qualifications
•Qualifications & Experience
+ 📜 High School Diploma or equivalentrequired. Advanced degrees preferred.
+ 🍴 Experience in afood services operation desired.
+ 🥡 Ability to obtainlocal Food Handling/Health Certification required.
Physical requirements:
+ 🏃♂️ Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching
+ 💪 Demonstrates the ability tolift 40 poundsand/or the ability to assess the lift load in order toask for necessary assistance
