    Job Title: Sleep TechnicianJob Description

     

    The ideal candidate will have experience conducting, scoring, and reviewing sleep studies (PSG and HSAT), delivering patient education, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to support high-quality care. This role involves both technical and patient responsibilities, with a focus on accuracy, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct, score, and review sleep studies (PSG and HSAT).

    + Deliver patient education and maintain equipment.

    + Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support high-quality care.

    + Ensure accuracy, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in sleep medicine, sleep study, and as a Sleep Scoring Technician.

    + Current RPSGT certification.

    + Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a sleep lab or clinical setting.

    + Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

    + Experience with scoring polysomnography and HSATs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in a clinical office or sleep medicine environment.

    + Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

    + Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and customer service skills.

    + Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

    + Proven track record in reliability and dependability.

    + Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and EMR systems.

    + Familiarity with general office equipment and technology.

    + Understanding of and compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and internal policies.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is a clinical setting with exposure to medical equipment, cleaning agents, and patient care. The position follows a Monday to Friday day shift schedule, with 8-hour shifts. The schedule may vary depending on patient needs, including early mornings or extended shifts for MSLT.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leawood, KS.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.50 - $40.00/hr.
