We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Technician to join our team in Hatfield, PA. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the environmental industry. You will be responsible for managing waste materials, including the transportation, detection, and organization of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Join a team with over 30 years of experience in the waste industry, where safety and sustainable growth are prioritized.
Responsibilities
+ Transport labeled drums of waste to designated areas.
+ Identify and detect substances within drums.
+ Load and offload drums onto trucks safely.
+ Separate hazardous waste from non-hazardous waste.
+ Organize waste materials in the warehouse according to protocols.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or Chemistry, OR one-year experience in a related industry.
+ Strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ OSHA 40 certification is preferred.
+ Experience in environmental science, general labor, soil sampling, and hazardous material handling.
+ 40 Hour Hazwoper certification is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment involves both indoor and outdoor settings, with approximately half the time spent inside and half outside. You should be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the workday and be comfortable standing and walking over uneven surfaces for extended periods. Work conditions include exposure to all climate conditions outdoors and non-climate-controlled conditions indoors. Safety protocols are strictly followed, and the best equipment is provided for protection.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
