Description
Collaborate with senior team members to develop project programs and design layouts that optimize space and reflect client needs. Design building façades that complement structural systems and enhance overall aesthetics. Coordinate engineering systems and maintain communication with consultants. Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Supervise and mentor junior architects and designers. Contribute to the development and editing of project specifications, especially related to finishes. Lead drawing production, including code research, design development, drafting, and construction administration, with minimal supervision. Address challenges and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies. Uphold high standards for documentation and construction quality, while seeking continuous improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with a clear career progression and an active NCARB record. Solid understanding of building codes, especially IBC and Illinois-specific regulations. Familiarity with façade materials and detailing. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; experience with rendering software is a plus. Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with MS Project is beneficial. Willingness to travel as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $55.00/hr.
