    Job Title: Production Planner Scheduler Supervisor

    Job Description

    The Production Planner Scheduler Supervisor is a position tasked with developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role involves coordinating with procurement, operations, logistics, and quality teams to meet customer delivery requirements, minimize inventory, and optimize resource utilization. The Planner/Scheduler Supervisor plays a strategic role in capacity planning, material requirements planning, and continuous process improvement.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and manage mid- to long-term master production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.

    + Translate demand into production work orders, ensuring availability of materials and labor.

    + Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure material availability for production.

    + Identify material supply issues and communicate potential schedule impacts with management, developing recovery strategies.

    + Optimize production workflows by leveling workloads across work centers and resolving capacity constraints.

    + Monitor production performance daily, identifying delays or bottlenecks.

    + Analyze and maintain schedules using ERP/MRP systems.

    + Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

    + Lead scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams to align priorities and address conflicts.

    + Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in scheduling and planning processes.

    + Create reports and dashboards on key KPIs such as schedule adherence and capacity utilization.

    + Support new product introductions by integrating requirements into production plans.

    + Train and mentor junior planners or schedulers.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of experience in production planning/scheduling within a manufacturing environment.

    + Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or M2M.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    + Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, lead times, and capacity planning.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

    + Familiarity with demand planning tools and forecasting techniques.

    + Advanced Excel or data analytics experience, including tools like Power BI or Tableau.

    Work Environment

    The position is located in South Colorado Springs and requires on-site presence five days a week. The work environment includes both office and manufacturing floor settings and may occasionally require travel to suppliers or customers.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

    This is a fully onsite position in Colorado Springs,CO.
