Job Title: Project Manager (Mechanical Engineer)
Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager with a background in Mechanical Engineering to lead capital projects ranging from $50K to $300K. This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on project management experience in a structured capital project environment. You will be responsible for managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful delivery across scope, schedule, and budget.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage capital projects from initiation through close-out, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, operations, and external vendors.
+ Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
+ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
+ Track project performance and report progress to stakeholders.
+ Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Manage change control and ensure documentation is up to date.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives within the project management process.
Essential Skills
+ Project management experience managing projects from start to finish, especially capital projects valued at $50K-$300K.
+ Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
+ Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial processes.
+ Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred, but candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
+ PMP or similar certification is a plus but not required.
+ Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
+ Proficiency with AutoCAD and document control processes.
Work Environment
This consulting position is based in a clean manufacturing environment with a designated desk area at our client site. The role offers benefits including PTO, holiday time, and sick time, with the flexibility to make the job your own. Local talent to the Vancouver and broader Portland area will be prioritized.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
