Job Summary
The Truck Service Asset and Equipment Programs Coordinator is responsible for supporting and coordinating multiple Truck Service vehicles and equipment asset programs across the organization. This role provides oversight of in-vehicle technologies, shop tooling, and safety-critical equipment to ensure that assets are acquired, deployed, tracked, and maintained in alignment with operational requirements, cost efficiency, and safety compliance. The Coordinator partners with the Truck Service Specialist, internal Procurement, Safety, and Operations teams, as well as external vendors, to manage asset lifecycle programs and ensure technician readiness and shop productivity. All activities are carried out in adherence to BP’s Operating Management System (OMS) and applicable TA Truck Service Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Truck Service Coordinator collaborates alongside the Vendor Asset Management Specialist.
Key** **Duties and Responsibilities
Equipment and Inventory Optimization
+ Coordinate inventory management of equipment and tooling across multiple locations, balancing operational requirements, safety standards, and cost efficiency.
+ Oversee technician support programs, including distribution, tracking, and lifecycle management of tool kits and safety-critical gear.
+ Monitor calibration schedules, warranty coverage, and compliance checks for shop equipment (alignment machines, diagnostic systems, lifts, torque tools, etc.), working with Safety and Procurement to ensure accuracy and availability.
+ Ensure all equipment and inventory processes comply with OMS and TS SOP standards.
Vehicle and In-Vehicle Technology Administration
+ Administer vehicle management systems, including telematics, diagnostics, GPS, and safety monitoring technologies.
+ Support tolling programs by assigning transponders, processing invoices, and reconciling usage for accuracy and compliance.
+ Assist in implementing and supporting vehicle safety technologies (ABS, ELDs, collision mitigation systems) in alignment with compliance requirements, OMS standards, and Safety team guidance.
Asset and Maintenance Support
+ Coordinate vendor-managed maintenance programs for Truck Service vehicles, ensuring timely preventive and corrective maintenance in alignment with OMS requirements.
+ Support vehicle lease administration, fuel card programs, and fueling access systems.
+ Partner with vendors, Procurement, and internal teams to monitor vehicle and equipment condition, ensuring maximum uptime and utilization.
Shop Tooling & Safety Equipment Oversight
+ Track and coordinate lifecycle management of shop tools and safety equipment, ensuring compliance with OSHA, FMCSA, OMS, and company SOP standards.
+ Implement accountability systems for tracking high-value or safety-critical shop assets.
+ Conduct periodic audits of shop equipment, PPE, and calibration records in collaboration with Safety, reporting findings to leadership and documenting per OMS/SOP requirements.
+ Support Procurement in sourcing, evaluating, and onboarding new shop tooling, PPE, and technologies to enhance technician safety and efficiency.
Capital Expenditure & Financial Support
+ Assist in managing the capital expenditure process for vehicles, shop equipment, and technologies, ensuring invoices are processed and tracked accurately.
+ Provide data inputs for ROI and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to guide Procurement and leadership decisions.
+ Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure alignment between Procurement, Finance, and Operations for equipment purchases and leases, consistent with OMS standards.
Data Organization and Reporting
+ Maintain asset tracking systems, calibration records, warranties, and vendor agreements to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
+ Assist in preparing presentations and reports for leadership, including KPIs on asset utilization, cost avoidance, compliance, and shop readiness.
+ Provide clear communication of asset program status to the Truck Service Specialist, Procurement, and Safety teams, ensuring data is documented per OMS and SOP guidelines.
What We’d Like to See
+ High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, with emphasis in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations. Equivalent hands-on experience in commercial vehicle repair, service management, or a related industry will also be considered.
+ 2+ years of experience in fleet asset management, vehicle equipment coordination, or shop tooling programs.
+ Familiarity with TA/Petro systems preferred.
+ Working knowledge of trucks, trailers, and Class 8 service operations is preferred.
+ Strong skills in customer service, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration (Procurement, Safety, Operations).
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficient with asset tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and web-based applications.
+ Ability to work with ROI/TCO data and provide actionable insights.
+ Ability to work flexible schedules and travel as needed to support field operations.
+ Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
+ Commitment to upholding OMS and Truck Service SOP standards across all responsibilities.7+ years of progressive leadership experience in truck service, fleet maintenance, or a related industry.

Pay Range
$71,000.00 - 81,000.00 annually - A pay range listed reflects the potential pay for this role. The pay will depend on various factors, such as responsibilities of the position, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Not all positions posted will have a pay range listed.

Typical Physical Demands
This role involves regular communication and engagement with cross-functional partners, senior leadership, and field teams. The employee is continuously sitting and typing, frequently talking, and using eye-hand coordination. The position may also require climbing or balancing, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling on occasion. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Standing, walking, bending, and repetitive use of legs occur occasionally.
Work Environment
The work is primarily performed in an office setting with occasional visits to shop environments. These visits may involve exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions, diesel fumes, mechanical noise, moving parts, and vibration. Contact with grease, oil, cleaning agents, and other substances typical of a commercial vehicle repair facility may occur. Proper safety protocols and personal protective equipment will be provided and are required during site visits.
