Job Title: Production Leader - 2nd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to oversee evening shift production employees, ensuring production schedules are met, quality and safety standards are maintained, daily reports are completed, and the building is secured nightly at the end of each shift. The role may require the use of hand tools to troubleshoot equipment, reading a tape measure, and engaging in coaching and development conversations with employees.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee evening shift production employees.

+ Ensure production schedules are met and maintained.

+ Maintain quality and safety standards.

+ Complete daily reports and secure the building nightly.

+ Utilize hand tools to troubleshoot equipment as needed.

+ Read a tape measure accurately.

+ Conduct coaching and development conversations with employees.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of leadership experience.

+ Ability to meet, maintain, track, and report on production schedules.

+ Mechanically inclined with the ability to use tools such as screwdrivers or pliers.

+ Proficiency in reading a tape measure.

+ Capability to lead, coach, and develop employees.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Computer skills.

+ Experience with injection moulding.

Work Environment

Work in a small mom-and-pop shop with a close-knit team of 25-30 employees. The 2nd shift team consists of around 6 employees. The facility houses older equipment, offering a unique and nostalgic work environment. The shift hours are Monday through Friday, from 2 PM to 10 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhart, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
