Job Title: General Machinist - 1st and 2nd available!

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled General Machinist with comprehensive experience in operating Mills, Lathes, and Grinders. The ideal candidate does not need to program or perform major setups, although setup experience would be considered a plus.

Responsibilities

+ Operate Grinders, Lathes, and CNC Mills.

+ Work with Fanuc controllers.

+ Start in the Gear Grinding department and transition to other departments as needed based on incoming work.

+ Work from blueprints, tooling instructions, and work instructions.

+ Be flexible and willing to work across multiple departments as needed.

+ Document and conduct quality inspections.

+ Compute data such as dimensions, rotation speeds, feed rates, and machining times.

+ Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, engineers, and support teams to resolve issues.

+ Rotate between various department work centers as required.

+ Load and unload component piece parts weighing up to 25 lbs.

Essential Skills

+ At least 4+ years of machining experience.

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ Ability to perform quality inspections.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and basic shop math skills.

Work Environment

Work in a spacious, organized, well-lit, and clean machine shop with air conditioning. Join a team of 45 employees on the shop floor. The shop consists of CNC Mills, Lathes, Grinders, a full manual machining department, a small quality department, and a deburring department. The work schedule is 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday, with optional overtime on Saturdays and Sundays. Training will be conducted on 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm. Be open to 5-10 hours of overtime and enjoy the opportunity for overtime pay on Saturdays and double time on Sundays.
