Job Title: Warehouse Worker - 1st Shift - Start Dec. 1st

Job Description

We are seeking diligent candidates to assist with warehouse operations for a special project at our Belleville location. The role involves managing inbound shipments and ensuring merchandise is staged, stacked, and loaded efficiently.

Responsibilities

+ Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to the correct destination.

+ Efficiently stage, stack, and load merchandise in the appropriate areas.

+ Move products from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and assigned trailer.

+ Ensure the trailer is secured and chocked before entering, following safety policies.

+ Load and unload products correctly using appropriate handling techniques.

+ Segregate, check, and stage inbound products correctly.

+ Verify driver, trailer, and bills for specific carriers and locations.

+ Count freight with the driver and ensure all requirements are met.

+ Load trailers for safe transit and ensure all required paperwork is signed by the driver.

+ Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

+ Maintain an organized and orderly desk/office area.

+ Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning, organizing, and sweeping work areas.

+ Work from an individual mobile workstation to pack orders, validate inventory counts, and communicate with drivers.

+ Build pallets, shrink wrap them, and utilize a pallet jack to organize orders once packed.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in picking and packing orders based on pick slips or customer order forms.

+ Ability to utilize computers or RF scanners to track inventory.

+ Capability to lift 50 lbs and perform standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.

+ Use of steel-toed boots/shoes.

Work Environment

Work in a state-of-the-art, 628,000 sq ft, climate-controlled facility that is well-lit and extremely clean. Our company is dedicated to providing outstanding client-focused service, going above and beyond to meet customer needs. The work is conducted in shifts, specifically from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belleville, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
