    Job Title: Skilled Manufacturing Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Slitting/Plating Line Operator to join our team. This role is critical to our production process and involves operating machinery that slits steel coils and galvanizes the material through a plating bath.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate the slitting line to convert 7-inch wide steel coils into ¾-inch parts.

    + Run parts through a plating bath to galvanize the material and ensure proper drying.

    + Perform basic equipment changeovers and routine maintenance.

    + Assist in other areas of the facility as needed, supporting a small and agile team.

    + Learn and apply advanced process knowledge—this is not a button-pushing role.

    + Conduct small welds as needed (training provided; prior welding experience not required).

    Essential Skills

    + Manufacturing experience.

    + Assembly line operation.

    + Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    + Proficiency with hand tools.

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + Ability to perform inspections.

    + Capability for heavy lifting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to learn quickly and think critically in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Comfortable working in a hands-on role with industrial equipment.

    + Willingness to be cross-trained and support various functions within the facility.

    + No prior welding experience required—training will be provided.

    The work takes place in a manufacturing/distribution facility with non-temperature controlled settings, making it hot in the summer and cold in the winter

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dover, DE.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
