Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Job Description

Join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, where you will play a crucial role in managing the logistics and flow of materials. You will be responsible for packing finished goods, scheduling shipments, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be key in maintaining accurate records and performing quality inspections.

Responsibilities

+ Pack finished goods in preparation for shipment.

+ Build shipping crates from blueprints or other instructions.

+ Schedule trucking companies for outgoing shipments.

+ Follow DOT and IATA regulations for shipping hazardous materials.

+ Adhere to procedures and guidelines for international export of products.

+ Maintain and log necessary shipping records in a SharePoint database.

+ Examine contents of incoming material shipments for accuracy against invoices, packing lists, and purchase orders.

+ Perform basic quality inspections on incoming materials.

+ Distribute received products and materials throughout the facility.

+ Maintain receiving records.

+ Operate fork trucks and other mechanical lifts for material transport.

+ Drive company vehicles for material transport between locations.

+ Utilize computer systems including ERP/material management and Microsoft Office applications.

+ Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

+ Participate in Lean activities.

+ Maintain housekeeping standards and follow procedures.

Essential Skills

+ 3 years of previous experience in a similar role.

+ Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, and other shipping platforms.

+ Basic computer skills.

+ Forklift certified or ability to obtain certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with inventory control.

+ Skill in operating fork trucks and mechanical lifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49990.00/yr.
