Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and company standards. This role requires precision, a strong eye for color and finish, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces.

+ Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired finishes.

+ Apply paint using spray guns and other painting equipment.

+ Inspect painted surfaces for quality and correct any imperfections.

+ Maintain painting equipment and ensure a clean and safe work environment.

+ Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations.

+ Collaborate with body shop technicians and estimators to ensure timely completion of work.

+ Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in auto body painting preferred.

+ Proven experience as an automotive painter or in a similar role.

+ Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.

+ Ability to mix and match colors accurately.

+ Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

+ Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.

+ Comfortable working in a noisy, fast-paced environment.

+ Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Certifications:

+ I-CAR or ASE certification in refinish painting is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liberty, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
