    General Laborer - Housekeeping

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated general laborers for 100% housekeeping positions. Candidates should be ready to become certified on a forklift and committed to maintaining a clean and orderly workspace. This role requires a high level of self-motivation and the ability to complete tasks with little supervision. Pride in one's work and low maintenance are key attributes.

    Responsibilities

    + Clean concrete debris, metal debris, cardboard, and trash cans, ensuring a tidy workspace.

    + Work in the production building as a concrete worker/general laborer.

    + Learn all the skills listed on the Production Worker Skill Sheet.

    + Gather components required for form and layout as directed by the Leadperson.

    + Prepare forms for the day's pour by cleaning, caulking, and oiling forms.

    + Fabricate steel bars into cages for precast pieces as directed.

    + Properly place components into forms at required locations prior to stressing cable.

    + Inspect chuck assemblies for defects and cleanliness, replacing as necessary.

    + Use a tape measure accurately.

    + Work flexible hours with a typical schedule of 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential extended hours up to 5 pm.

    Essential Skills

    + General labor or construction experience.

    + Ability to lift 50 pounds.

    + Comfortable working outdoors.

    + Proficiency with hand and power tools.

    + Ability to use a tape measure.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + Willingness to learn.

    + Experience in concrete, pre-cast production, carpentry, and electrical work.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a concrete manufacturing environment where the temperature is typically cooler than outside. In winter, the plant is heated to 65 degrees. Enjoy being part of a collaborative team.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richburg, SC.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
