    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to apply their knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques. This role involves setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills, editing programs, and inspecting completed parts while maintaining detailed documentation.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills using Virtual Gibbs.

    + Edit programs and ensure accurate machine operation.

    + Utilize a variety of tools and measuring instruments including mills, lathes, hones, saws, shears, grinders, calipers, micrometers, and calculators.

    + Read and interpret blueprints, with a strong understanding of GD&T.

    + Machine and inspect completed parts, ensuring quality and precision.

    + Handle complex setups on machinery with a high volume of setups and short runs of custom parts.

    Essential Skills

    + 7-10+ years of experience in machining.

    + Proficiency in G&M codes with the ability to edit programs.

    + Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with multi-turret, multi-spindle CNC lathes is a plus.

    + Aerospace experience is beneficial.

    + Consideration for students from machining schools or CNC operators with potential to grow into setup roles.

    Work Environment

     

    1st & 2nd shift positions open. Flexibility and willingness to learn different machines and areas are essential. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required on the shop floor. Work independently with limited supervision in a newly relocated facility in Thousand Oaks, which features several new machines and ongoing plans for additional purchases.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorpark, CA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
