    Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    This position is for a Building Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of facilities through regular maintenance, repairs, and improvements. This role requires a blend of mechanical knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to work with various maintenance systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform routine inspections and maintenance on buildings and equipment to ensure optimal functioning.

    + Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate repair schedules to minimize disruption.

    + Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory.

    + Fabricate parts as necessary to maintain equipment and systems.

    + Troubleshoot and repair logic controllers and other automated systems.

    + Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively.

    + Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or fabrications.

    + Use an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical systems.

    + Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field.

    + Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various systems.

    + Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively.

    + Proficient in welding techniques and practices.

    + Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with CMMS software is preferred.

    + High school graduate or trade school is preferred.

    The facility is medium-sized with a production shop feel and is currently expanding, adding new production lines to support growth.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
