Description

We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous accountant to join our team in Norwalk Connecticut. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing comprehensive reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in accounting systems.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to established standards.

• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.

• Manage payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable tasks with precision.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial data.

• Conduct in-depth account analyses to aid strategic decision-making.

• Collaborate with colleagues to prepare and organize audit documentation.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations by staying informed about relevant laws and implementing necessary practices.

• Provide valuable insights through financial data analysis to support business operations.

• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and oversee journal entries.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• 1–5 years of accounting experience, depending on the position level.

• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Oracle, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle multiple deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.

• Experience with general ledger maintenance and journal entry posting.
