Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Processor to join our team in El Segundo, California. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in supporting general accounting functions within the logistics industry. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in bookkeeping and a keen attention to detail, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including payments to suppliers, and address inquiries regarding payment statuses.

• Prepare and record journal entries for various accounting transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Generate and maintain reports, including balance lists for general ledger accounts and cargo insurance documentation.

• Communicate effectively and professionally with branch offices to address and resolve accounting-related issues.

• Organize and file financial documents to maintain accurate records and compliance standards.

• Assist management with additional accounting tasks and projects as needed. Requirements • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other common office software, including email platforms.

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently while adhering to deadlines.

• Familiarity with accounts payable and journal entry processes.

• Experience in preparing financial reports and handling Form 1099 is a plus.
