    Description

    Are you an experienced accountant ready to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join a finance team in York, PA. In this role, you’ll take ownership of complex accounting tasks, mentor junior staff, and help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. As a Senior Accountant, your insights and expertise will guide key business decisions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

    + Manage general ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations

    + Oversee month-end and year-end close processes

    + Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

    + Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

    + Mentor and support junior accounting staff

    + Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits

    + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    + 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience (public or private)

    + CPA or CPA-track preferred

    + Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting systems

    + Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) a plus

    + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

    + Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and mentor others
