Senior Project Manager (General Contracting)

What we are looking for:

Aldridge is seeking General Superintendent to provide overall on-site administrative and technical management on construction project sites.

What you’ll do:

+ Lead and develop a team.

+ Foster customer relationships.

+ Facilitate project planning, delivery, and execution.

+ Drive projects through the entire Aldridge Project Lifecycle.

Safety – Drive the IIF safety culture.

+ Regularly visit your job sites and lead by example.

+ Ensure a safety plan is developed and adhered to.

MENTORING AND COACHING – Lead and develop your team.

+ Direct the activities of Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers, train them in their roles and responsibilities and hold them accountable.

+ Be a resource to help new recruits learn and understand Aldridge business processes.

+ Influence support staff and cross-divisional resources.

+ Develop a successor and a succession plan for continued growth opportunity and back tier.

Customer Focus – Foster customer relationships.

+ Build a strong partnership with the owner(s).

+ Own a customer account; build a long-term relationship with the prospect of future work.

+ Foster a close working relationship with field leadership and engage them in Agile and other company processes.

Project Planning – Facilitate project planning.

+ Identify and document the roles and responsibilities of the management team on each project.

+ Complete understanding of the estimate including all subcontractor scopes, self-perform labor, management plan and material packages.

+ Ability to identify and mitigate any financial risks.

+ Ensure there is a plan to meet all contractual requirements.

+ Monitor PM functions and ensure that pre-job planning tasks are being completed prior to work starting.

+ Develop and maintain overall project CPM schedule (P6) including gathering all relevant subcontractor activities, sequencing and durations.

+ Share your experience and lessons learned from similar projects with the project team. Ensure there is a plan to mitigate any concerns.

+ Develop and execute a strong financial plan for your projects (accurate project financials, status presentation, positive cash flow, cash collections).

Project Execution – Drive a project through the entire Aldridge Project Lifecycle.

+ Deliver project-level solutions and deliver the contract.

+ Work with Project Superintendent to coordinate, supervise, and hold subcontractors accountable for their performance, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols. This includes proactively building relationships and verifying their work.

+ Ensure that the company processes and tools are being utilized. Monitor Agile reporting and enact change when needed.

+ Ensure billings are up to date and rectify any underbilling or collection issues.

+ Ensure that monthly project status reports are accurate.

+ Sign-off on or create all change order requests to the Customer.

+ Elevate critical job issues to the Division Manager or Vice President.

Who you are:

+ Proven building construction technical experience and ability to demonstrate clear understanding of each facet of a building construction project (i.e. concrete, masonry, metals, water proofing, openings, finishes, specialties, MEPs, security, earthwork, exteriors improvements, utilities, wastewater, demolition, etc.).

+ A trade education, associate degree, or a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field may be required or preferred.

+ Minimum of eight years construction management and/or project foreman experience in similar role.

+ Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills.

+ Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment to help grow the organization.

+ Ability to promote teamwork and open communication on the project site.

+ Highly motivated with strong skills in time management and prioritization.

+ Creative and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.

What we offer:

The annual base pay for this role is between $130,000 - $190,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for vehicle allowance and bonus.
