Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for an Automotive Account Manager in West Chester, OH or Burns Harbor, IN. The Account Manager is responsible for supporting accounts based on product segment, full cycle negotiations, business planning, and sales planning. They will also have a strong customer relationship focus and will be seen as a sales business liaison, advocating for their customers internally and Cleveland-Cliffs externally.
Summary of Responsibilities:
+ Account management with responsibilities for quotes, maintaining production pricing, claims, new business launch support, problem resolution, forecasting, and inventory management
+ Maintain contact on an intermediate and advanced level with established customers, identify customer needs and develop sales opportunities in the North American region
+ Make decisions at an intermediate level
+ Analyze and interpret customer, competitor & market trends on an intermediate to advanced level
+ Achieve sales and margin targets. Proactive involvement in strategic planning and contract negotiations
+ Must be able to communicate quality and delivery issues and coordinate problem resolution and performance improvement
+ Communicate customer's expectations inside the organization
+ Work closely as part of a team with engineering, technical service, marketing, accounting, finance, customer service and production
+ Deliver excellent customer service in person, on phone, or through email and other virtual communications
+ Gain proficient product knowledge to promote Cleveland-Cliffs steels within the automotive industry
+ Translate key financial components with accounts and the business internally and externally
+ Travel is required
+ Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED with relevant work experience
+ Ability to handle multiple projects
+ Ability to process all sales quotations, and sales orders for assigned account(s)
+ Ability to set and manage priorities
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong negotiation skills
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field, MBA is a plus
+ 3-5 years of customer service, account management, or similar experience in a manufacturing environment; steel or automotive industry preferred
+ Advanced diplomatic skills
+ Strong presentation skills
