As a Supplier Quality Engineer Blades and Vanes, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with
suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You'll
collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards
are met, while fostering strong relationships with our valued suppliers.
HowYou’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
+ Lead product and process qualification activities(PPQs) for turbine blades and vane components at suppliers.
+ Contain, manage, and resolve quality issues related tonon-conforming components identified at AGT Siemens Energy facilities,warehouses, or global customers.
+ Drive supplier root cause investigations and correctiveactions through the Problem Resolution process.
+ Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issueswithin the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
+ Audit existing and potential suppliers to verifymanufacturing capability and ensure robust quality systems.
+ Develop supplier capability to meet current and futurerequirements while supporting cost reduction opportunities and processimprovements.
WhatYou Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education/workexperience) in Industrial, mechanical engineering, materials science, or arelated field.
+ 5+ years of professional experience as a ManufacturingEngineer and/or Supplier Quality Engineer in qualifying suppliers for casting,machining and coating.
+ Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems(ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management, inspection methodologies, andquality improvement tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
+ Expertise in manufacturing processes, drawinginterpretation, and collaboration with design engineering to ensuremanufacturability; experience with hot blades and vanes at castingfacilities is a plus.
+ Proven ability to manage complex investigations andprojects end-to-end, including PPQs and supplier quality issues; SAPproficiency is a plus.
+ Applicants must be legally authorized for employment inthe United States without need for current or future employer-sponsoredwork authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorshipmay be eligible for internal transfers.
