Job Title: Sourcing ManagerJob Description
The Sourcing Manager will develop and implement strategies for best practices regarding cost, risk, and schedule balance for assigned commodities. This role involves delivering complex, custom-engineering solutions to a diverse customer base, managing project timelines, and ensuring cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage overall supply chain activities for assigned projects from offer to order to completion.
+ Create, control, and execute project-related optimized sourcing strategies to ensure project success and risk mitigation.
+ Review customer specifications and provide procurement-related comments as needed.
+ Perform market analysis and negotiate with suppliers on technical and commercial issues to ensure cost-effective procurement.
+ Coordinate and align purchasing activities with the global Material Group Manager.
+ Review, control, forecast, and report the status of the project purchasing budget and activities during project review meetings.
+ Provide customer-focused assistance to internal customers, particularly with key projects and requirements.
+ Travel domestically and internationally as required.
+ Purchase materials and services in accordance with established policies and procedures.
+ Develop collaborative relationships and strategic alliances with suppliers to promote quality improvement and cost reductions.
+ Support special project activities for the team as assigned by the Director of Supply Chain.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of strategic procurement experience, particularly in project-based and custom projects.
+ Experience dealing with schedules and deadlines within procurement.
+ ERP system experience.
+ Proficient negotiation skills.
+ Ability to build networks and work in a cross-functional environment with different suppliers.
+ Self-directed and detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
+ Proficient work ethic with a positive attitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ The ability to eventually transition into a management role to oversee team members and ensure tasks are executed properly.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position at a production facility. The Sourcing Manager will be part of a team with 3-4 other members onsite, while reporting to a Director located in Canada. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with a flexible first shift requiring presence onsite between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. The dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
