Responsibilities If selected at the GS-12 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity Enhances data-driven decision-making by developing and implementing effective knowledge management strategies Supports optimizing the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness in managing the disposition of excess military property. Advises leadership on data governance and compliance with department guidelines while creating data visualizations to enable integration and information decisions. Leads the development, implementation and operations of the knowledge management framework and program guidance supporting Disposition Services, other federal agencies and Foreign Military Sales activities. Leads projects to improve data analysis and automation within DLA Disposition Services Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for a Knowledge Management and Data Visualization Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: GS-12: Providing continuous process improvement recommendations to management with analysis of key trends and data for adoption by the enterprise. Assisting in the development of tools to create solutions and present key performance indicators through data visualizations to depict clear concise mission, financial and administrative modeling and data preparation. Reviewing, analyzing and assessing data and documents to make recommendations to improve knowledge management. GS-13: Developing tools to create solutions that capture, analyze and present key performance indicators related to inventory, management, reutilization, recycling, demilitarization. Designing data visualization tools to depict clear and concise mission, financial and administrative modeling and data preparation. Leading research studies to review, analyze and assess data to make recommendations and improve knowledge management. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
