TEKsystems is seeking a Critical Environment Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of centrifugal chiller systems in mission-critical environments. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals with a strong understanding of diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and system optimization.

Technicians will work with Trane chillers, perform routine testing, and ensure systems meet performance and safety standards across high-availability facilities.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on centrifugal chillers, with a focus on Trane systems

+ Conduct eddy current testing on condenser and evaporator tubes

+ Monitor system performance, refrigerant levels, and evaporator approach temperatures

+ Use integrated control panels to assess and optimize system operations

+ Document irregularities and escalate issues per global maintenance protocols

+ Collaborate with site teams and CE Managers to ensure compliance and reliability

+ Maintain accurate records in CMMS and change management systems

Top Skills Needed:

+ Electrical systems in critical infrastructure environments

+ Familiarity with VFD/VSD systems

+ OSHA or NFPA 70E certification

+ Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Qualifications:

+ Minimum 2 years of experience with centrifugal chillers (Trane preferred)

+ Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fluid dynamics, and heat exchange principles

+ Experience in data centers, hospitals, manufacturing, or similar high-availability environments

+ Ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately

+ High school diploma or equivalent required

+ OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E certification required

+ Flexible schedule availability, including potential weekend or rotating shifts

This is a Contract position based out of Fayetteville, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
