    The*Montana Department of Transportation (MDT)*is recruiting for a State Highway Traffic Safety Program Manager. This position is responsible for performing professional-level tasks that support MDT's State Highway Traffic Safety Section within the Statewide Planning & Model Operations of MDT. Responsible for supporting state and local law enforcement agencies in high crash areas that mitigate impaired driving and speeding and that increase occupant protection enforcement efforts. Provides technical and administrative guidance to law enforcement grantees throughout Montana to enhance state highway traffic safety.This position reports to the State Highway Traffic Safety Section supervisor and does not directly supervise others. Alternative combinations of related experience and education may be considered. Such as 4 years of related experience. *Planner 4 - $35.72* * * Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Planning, Business Administration, or a related field and 1 year of directly related experience.
