    Job Description Summary

    This role oversees Physical Security and the Security & Crisis Management (SCM) program, ensuring the protection of company assets and employees. It holds direct responsibility for the security of the GE Vernova executive leadership team—particularly senior executives including the CEO, CFO, CPO, and CSO—with a primary focus on executive travel in public and high-risk environments.

     

    The position evaluates internal and external business risks, recommending security best practices that enhance organizational safety, systems, and operations. It leverages security intelligence and industry trends to inform strategic decisions and response protocols.

     

    Additionally, this role builds and maintains relationships with external partners and government agencies to support intelligence sharing, adopt industry best practices, and strengthen collaborative security efforts.

    Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + At the regional level, develop security operations plan to support GE Vernova, manage the shared services process for security, respond to business-specific requests for support, liaise with regional government, and conduct reviews as needed to validate security capability.

    + Developing expertise within the Function. Growing reputation within the organization. Includes roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership. Influence policy and ensure delivery within the Function, linking with other functions across the organization.

    + Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Present business specific security solutions to leaders where required.

    + Communicate clearly on topics related to security and employee safety. Develop a communication plan specific to the task to ensure all relevant parties are appropriately briefed prior to commencement.

    + Influence business budgets to ensure security is considered in the planning of projects, events, and any other special projects or operations. Ensure resources are sufficient to cover the project or event and escalate concerns up the Function where necessary to ensure deficiencies are addressed.

    + Ability to evaluate information quickly and assess associated risk. Differentiate credible versus non-credible data or threats. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of Function to help drive decision making specific to security.

    + Ability to focus on critical issues thereby driving change. Ability to pre-empt events or drive a proactive approach, rather than being reactive and responding to events.

    Required Qualifications

    + Master’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with at least 15+ years’ experience and institutional / government training).

    + 10+yrs previous experience at a Regional Security level.

    + 10+yrs experience with local, provincial, state, or federal government agencies that oversee security, national security, or intelligence services for any given institution or country.

    + 10+yrs experience in working across international borders on matters pertaining to security, national security, or intelligence where the institution or country representatives are traveling in a host country.

    + x10+yrs experience in planning and executing the security protocol for an event or trip involving government officials, dignitaries or corporate executives. This includes the advance party, the event security staff, location or country security services, and the security detail.

    The base pay range for this position is $131.6K - $205K. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.     The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.

    For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,600.00 and $219,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
