    Special Education Teacher | $50/hr | Cerritos, CA | ASAP Start | Full-Time

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in Cerritos, CA. This role begins ASAP and runs for 36 weeks, with options to extend into summer or the following school year.

    Position Details

    + Location: Cerritos, CA

    + Start Date: November 23, 2025

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–2:00pm (40 hrs/week)

    + Pay Rate: $50/hr

    + Modality: In-person only

    + Grade Levels: K–12

    + Class Size: Up to 50 students

    + Credential Required: Mild/Moderate

    Responsibilities

    + Provide quality services to special education students

    + Collaborate with general education staff to support student programs

    + Deliver special instruction and tutorial assistance

    + Participate in planning and implementation of IEPs

    + Maintain compliance with district and state standards

    Requirements

    + Valid California teaching certificate (Mild/Moderate credential required)

    + Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

    + Experience in pediatric populations and teaching environments

    + LBS1 endorsement (preferred)

    + CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Minimum age: 18
