    Job Title: School Aide – Special Education Support

     

    Start Date: As soon as fully cleared (Estimated: 12/15/2025)

     

    Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year (9 months)

    Schedule:

    + Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM

    + Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 12:25 PM

    Job Description:

    The School Aide provides instructional and behavioral support to students with Autism and related challenges under the supervision of the special education department. This role includes working 1-on-1 with students, assisting with classroom preparation, and supporting therapeutic care needs as directed by licensed professionals.

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide direct support to students with Autism and behavioral needs

    + Assist with classroom setup and instructional activities

    + Float between classrooms as needed (no location changes)

    + Support students with physical mobility and therapeutic care needs

    + Follow lesson plans and guidance from teachers and administrators

    + Participate in Kennedy Krieger’s in-house Professional Crisis Management (PCM) training

    Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or GED (required)

    + Previous experience working with students with Autism (required)

    + Must be at least 18 years of age

    + Ability to remain professional, timely, and verbally deescalate situations

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
