    Special Education Teacher | $45/hr | Chicago, IL | Full-Time | High School | LBS1

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person role in Chicago, IL. This position begins as soon as cleared and runs through the end of the school year.

    Position Details

    + Location: Chicago, IL

    + Start Date: December 1, 2025 (or once cleared)

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm (40 hrs/week)

    + Pay Rate: $45/hr

    + Modality: In-person only

    + Grade Level: High School

    + Caseload: Self-contained classroom, teaching all subjects

    + Student Needs: Social-emotional and behavioral support

    + Support Staff: Paraprofessional and behavior tech in each classroom

    Requirements

    + Valid Illinois teaching certificate with LBS1 endorsement

    + Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

    + Experience in high school or pediatric settings

    + CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Minimum age: 18
