    Job Description

    The Data Digital & Technology (DD&T) team is responsible for all the Digital Improvements, Operational Efficiencies, and Innovative Solutions at Round Lake Drug Delivery Manufacturing Site. The Team's core purpose is to provide solutions for business such as Paperless Plant. DD&T investigates use cases from the Manufacturing Business Partners, including Quality, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Science. They build solutions via Agile Program Management, developing solutions in house, working with vendors, and rolling out NorthStar solutions to improve our site operations, and overall meet our commitments to bring our products to the patient.

    How You Will Contribute:

    As a Data, Digital, and Technology (DD&T) intern in the pharmaceutical sector

    + Help collect, clean, and organize data from manufacturing systems

    + Support compliance with industry regulations like GxP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11

    + Assist in using digital tools to improve daily operations and data tracking

    + Automate simple tasks using tools like Python or Power Automate

    + Create basic dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Power Automate

    + Help write or update standard operating procedures (SOPs)

    Internship Development Opportunities:

    + The intern will learn about manufacturing digital needs, and how to utilize current process to deliver value added activities to business users.

    + They will develop a deep understanding of networking within various levels of the organization, relationship building, and develop a strong voice of the customer approach to the business adoption of technology.

    + A collaborative and inclusive work environment

    + They will be getting the mentorship from experienced technical team and Business key Stakeholders.

    Job Requirements:

    + This position is fully onsite at the Libertyville office, with occasional travel to the Round Lake Drug Delivery site (approximately a 20-minute drive) as needed.

    + Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a STEM or Business Analyst related discipline (ex. Computer Science, Management Information Systems)

    + Basic understanding of VB Script or Java Script

    + Familiarity with Python or SQL

    + Knowledge of Data visualization tools like Power automate, Power BI and Excel

    + Basic understanding of AI tools and their applications in business.

    + Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools.

    + in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    + Basic understanding of computer skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Words, Excel)

    + Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and information gathering

    + Highly reliable and strong team player

    + Flexible with attention to detail

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work in cross-functional teams.

    + Detail-oriented and organized, especially in documentation and reporting.

    + Good communication skills especially when working with non-IT departments.

    Internship Eligibility

    + Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship

    + Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later

    + The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14th or June 15th- August 21st)

    + The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames

    + Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates

    + Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

    $21.00 - $46.00

     

    The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
