    The role!

     

    Position: Director of Day Services

     

    Pay rate: $80K - $90K commensurate on experience

     

    Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday (8am-4pm)                                                                                                                              Status: Exempt

    Summary & Responsibilities

     

    The Director of Day Services is an integral role at the forefront of our Day Services Division responsible for the development, implementation, supervision, and effective management of all aspects of the day services leadership team and their programs.

     

    + In all individual-related interpersonal interactions, advocacy, and job-related tasks - promote the service principles of rights and dignity, individual control, community membership, inclusion, decision making, relationships, personal growth and accomplishments, and personal well-being.

    + Supervise the program directors and oversee the hiring, training, development, supervision, evaluation and termination of staff in accordance with Agency procedures and in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.

    + In conjunction with the CEO, develop annual program unit budgets with input from the program directors.  Take responsibility for all program units and services staying within budgetary limits and contractual limitations.

    + Maintain a positive working relationship with DDS, MassHealth and other agencies that provide services to our individuals. Attend quarterly meetings with DDS and sign off on behavior plans as required.

    + Overseeing billing and utilization for all DDS contracts to ensure compliance. Submit prior authorization for ISS funding.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Rehabilitation, Administration or a related field preferred, Master’s degree preferred.

    + A minimum of five years of management experience in developmental disability services, including supervisory and fiscal management with three or more of these years providing direct service to individuals with developmental disabilities.

    + Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information to others in a clear manner required.

    + A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation is required.

    + Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check including references, CORI, and fingerprinting.
