    Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Senior Manager IT - End User Compute and Mobility. Preferred location is Beachwood, OH if not within 50 miles, remote candidates will be considered.

     

    The expected annual salary range for this role is $158249.97 - $232099.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

    What you’ll do:

    Job Summary

    This position will lead a team in defining Eaton’s device experience strategy and related technology platforms including modern device management. They will execute our workplace strategy by partnering with key IT and Business stakeholders and ecosystem partners. This position will bring expertise in designing, building, running and modernizing end user compute platforms with the vision of continuously improving customer experience, selecting, leveraging, improving applications to automate deployment, enable improvements, self-detect, heal, etc. In addition, the position will be responsible for the overall strategy, investment, operations and management of device procurement, configuration and deployment overseeing the evolution to a Device-as-a-Service model with a focus on leveraging Agentic AI and endpoint observability technologies as a means to proactively triage and resolve user and device issues. The role requires experience in vendor selection and negotiation, ideally managing and improving service delivery via a service based operating model.

     

    Experiences should include leading the transformation to an agile operating model. The leader in this role will be expected to drive productivity, usher in new end user compute technologies, and systematically eliminate legacy workplace technology debt. The technology platform leader will lead a diverse team, including employees and contractors distributed across Eaton’s global footprint. As a part of the IT Digital Employee Experience leadership team, this position will have significant leadership and communication responsibilities with the Eaton operational leaders, vendor partners and information technology product teams across the enterprise. This team will work closely with our Site Infrastructure Support Organization to ensuring consistency of services, processes, and approaches across regions. This position will have direct responsibility for the IT profit plan related to end user compute and mobility teams, liaising with Finance partners across the Enterprise.

    Job Responsibilities

    * Lead and mentor a technology focused team charged with delivering seamless customer experience related to end user compute and mobility enablement.

    * Creates a more integrated enterprise-wide delivery approach and implement consistent leading-edge client compute practices leveraging Agile principles.

    * Develops Roadmap including investments in tools, technology, and Ensures client compute platform offerings remain innovative and keep pace with changing external market conditions with a focus on leveraging Agentic and Generative AI as a means achieve these goals.

    * Ensure high quality, on-time delivery related to key modernization programs, mobility experience, productivity, and device deployment processes.

    * Mature the strategy to leverage Device-as-a-Service options for device deployment while ensuring improved TCO and customer satisfaction.

    * Collaborate with key business and IT partners across LOBs and functions to align technology and business priorities; negotiate and execute program improvements aligned with business strategy, service quality objectives and financial goals.

    * Develop team capabilities and manage deployment to provide customer-focused design and implementation support.

    * Invest in the development and acquisition of capabilities to support the long-term growth of the compute platform.

    * Streamline, standardize and automate business processes where possible to reduce cost and increase the speed of improvements.

    * Design, develop and deliver processes for continual and consistent knowledge management throughout the End User Compute and Mobility team, ensuring all key stakeholders have easy access.

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications (Must Haves):

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

    + Minimum of ten (10) years of IT experience as an analyst, project manager, engineer or program lead on complex outcome focused, technology projects and programs

    + Prior team leadership experience

    + Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

    Preferred Qualifciations:

    + Master of Business Administration

    + Advance expertise in OS lifecycle management and application delivery.

    + Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft desktop (M365) and cloud (Azure) technologies.

    + Experience with Virtual Desktop Environments (Citrix, Azure VDI, W365).

    + Experience with SCCM & InTune.

    + Understanding of endpoint observability platforms (Nexthink) as well as Agentic AI concepts and platforms.

    + Experience managing a globally distributed team of professionals and engineers in Client compute, mobility and modern device management areas.
