    Job Summary and Responsibilities

     

    Are you a skilled ground professional with a passion for transforming outdoor spaces? Mercy Medical Center seeks a dedicated **Groundskeeper** to maintain our beautiful landscapes, ensuring an inviting and healing environment for all.

    What You'll Do:

    + **Landscape Maintenance:** Prepare terrain, apply fertilizers, seed/sod lawns, mow, trim, and repair lawns. Prune trees, trim shrubs, cultivate, plant, and weed gardens/flowerbeds.

    + **Plant Health:** Spray plants and apply nutrients for optimal growth.

    + **Irrigation Expertise:** Install, maintain, and design sprinkler systems.

    + **Equipment Care:** Inspect and perform minor repairs on grounds equipment (mowers, weed eaters, tractors, etc.).

    + **Team Support:** Recordkeeping, deliveries, and assisting with employee training as needed.

     

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm

    Job Requirements

    We're Looking For You If:

    + **Experienced:** High School Graduate/GED. Proficient in operating powered equipment (lawn/garden tractors, ditch trenchers, backhoe). Small Caterpillar tractor experience (Preferred).

    + **Licensed Driver:** Valid Oregon Driver's License with a clear driving record.

    + **Communicative:** Strong written/oral communication and basic math skills

    + **Knowledgeable:** Working knowledge of lawn, plant, and shrub care/maintenance

    + **Skilled:** Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and detect potential issues

    Pay Range

    $18.96 - $26.78 /hour
