As a **Security Officer - Armed Access Control** in **Deland, FL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

+ Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.

+ Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with site-specific procedures and information related to access control.

+ Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies for the protection of people and property.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to established protocols.

+ Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports and logbooks as required by the location's protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns.

+ Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and onsite personnel to maintain a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.

+ Have 1 or more years of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.

+ Possess a valid armed guard card or license.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
