Job Title: Shipping Forklift Operator

Job Description

The Shipping Forklift Operator plays a vital role in the daily operations of our food and beverage processing facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining a well-organized staging area, and supporting inventory control systems. The clerk is expected to work collaboratively with production, quality, and shipping departments to meet company standards and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

+ Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.

+ Maintain a well-organized staging area.

+ Support inventory control systems.

+ Collaborate with production, quality, and shipping departments.

+ Oversee staging and prepping of orders.

+ Ensure smooth operations in the designated area.

+ Work closely with shipping supervisors.

+ Offload trucks and manage order building and closure.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with pallets and forklifts (stand up and sit down).

+ Inventory control and management.

+ Shipping and receiving procedures.

+ Order staging and preparation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in a hybrid role working closely with shipping, receiving, and inventory teams.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced, cold manufacturing environment. The role requires adaptability and a willingness to engage in various operational tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
