    Job Description

    The Production Technician will be responsible for using hand tools to assemble small parts for robotic dogs.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble small parts from schematic/technical drawings and work instructions.

    + Use small screwdrivers to secure small bolts to parts for robotic dogs.

    + Utilize tools and equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, solder stations, heat guns, and various hand tools.

    + Verify measurements to validate part compliance using measurement devices like calipers, tape measures, pin gauges, and go/no-go gauges.

    + Read electrical and mechanical drawings and verify part dimensions against drawing requirements.

    + Enter data using general computer skills.

    + Collaborate and work effectively within a production team environment.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with cable harnesses and reading drawings proficiently.

    + Proficient with tools and soldering, with a minimum of six months of experience.

    + Strong attention to detail, documented through references.

    + Basic computer skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + General knowledge of common mechanical techniques, such as geometric dimensioning and tolerance practices.

    + Experience with electronics, cable harness assembly, fiber optics, and assembly.

    + Ability to use tools and equipment like VOM, cable tester, and pull tester.

    Work Environment

     

    Located in an old ice skating rink building, this small business comprises about 20 people. The work environment is casual, with jeans being acceptable attire. Those involved in soldering are required to wear ESD smocks. The facility is climate controlled and clean, providing a comfortable workspace.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Johnstown, PA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
